April 9, 2018

Home, Kan. — April 9, 2018 — The Board of Directors of Blue Valley Tele-Communications, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Candace Wright as BVTC’s general manager and chief executive officer effective April 9, 2018.

"Earlier this year, we [the Board] appointed Candace as our interim CEO. At that time, we considered conducting a national search so that we could retain Candace as the CFO. However, during the time she has been in the CEO role, her performance has exceeded all our expectations. We are very fortunate to have this level of talent already within our organization and feel confident we have the best person for the position [CEO] in place,” said Terry Force, board president.

“I want to thank the board for this opportunity,” commented Wright. “As someone who is rural by choice, I am committed to the company, employees, and customers. The future of BVTC and Networks Plus, as well as other companies like it, are essential to the economic vitality of rural America. I look forward to working with our talented team to advance our organizations into the next phase of providing the highest quality services to our communities.”

Wright will lead both BVTC and its subsidiary, Networks Plus. The company staffs 55 employees and has offices in Home, Manhattan, Topeka, and Salina, Kan.

Wright is a native of Marysville. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business and accounting from Emporia State University (ESU) and a Master of Accountancy from Kansas State University (KSU). She is a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years of experience in the accounting industry; including both public and private. She has been employed with BVTC as the controller/CFO since 2007.
