Blue Rapids Community Action Team:  Connecting a Community, One Project at a Time

 

Since 2018, the Blue Rapids Community Action Team (BRCAT) has been quietly but powerfully shaping the future of Blue Rapids. Made up entirely of volunteers, the group focuses on projects, improvements, and events that make life better for every resident.

“We are dedicated to improving the lives of the citizens of Blue Rapids,” the team shared. “Our goal is to enhance our town with activities and projects that make Blue Rapids the best.”

From community gatherings to beautification projects, their work reflects a deep pride in the town they call home, and recently, that work has been strengthened by something essential to modern life: reliable internet.

 

Connecting a Rural Community to Today’s World

In rural Kansas, dependable connectivity isn’t just convenient — it can be transformational.

“Businesses need point-of-sale capability, and people who work from home need dependable access,” explained committee member Laura Musil. “People have moved to town recently who work at home. They couldn’t live here before, because they did not have viable internet until Blue Valley was available.”
