Will my phone work if my power goes out? 

Answer

If you have a battery back-up, your landline phone will work for up to 6-8 hours, depending on the type of battery back-up you have. Things to remember if your power goes out: 

• You must have a corded phone to use when the power goes out.
• If you are using a generator during power outages, make sure the battery back-up is hooked up to the generator.
• If you are a special needs customer with critical healthcare issues, be sure to call 877.876.1228 as soon as possible.
• If your battery back-up ever beeps, you need to call the office for a replacement.
