Thomason Appointed to State Development Board

October 8, 2015

September 25, 2015 - Home, Kan. - Brian Thomason, chief executive officer of the Blue Valley Network of Companies was recently appointed to the Team Kansas board of directors. Led by Governor Sam Brownback, the board is comprised of 14 regional and 6 executive directors from across the State.

Team Kansas began as the Kansas Cavalry in 1973 after Governor Robert Docking and a delegation of Kansas business leaders visited Japan. Initially, the organization had between 50 and 75 members. Early initiatives focused on recruitment missions to business centers and were built around business leader-to business leader connections and meetings.

Since then, the organization has continued to grow and change to meet current challenges. In 2013, the organization transitioned from the Cavalry to Team Kansas to reflect its current role as an economic development support group. Leveraging its resources for enhanced economic development marketing, Team Kansas works hard to promote the Sunflower State as a great place to grow a business and invest.
