BVTC Acquires IT Company Networks Plus
October 20, 2014
Blue Valley Tele-Communications, Inc. announced this week it has acquired Networks Plus of Manhattan, Kan. The acquisition combines BVTC’s experience and expertise in communications and Information Technology (IT) services, with capabilities, certifications, and technical expertise from the Networks Plus team. This will provide customers access to one of the most powerful IT teams now in the state.
The acquisition is expected to expand BVTC’s leadership in the area of IT support, colocation, and virtual data services, all of which project long-term growth opportunities for both entities.
“For us, it is not about becoming the biggest [IT provider] - it is about being the best and providing the highest quality service to our customers. We are a national leader in our industry so it comes without saying the addition of the Networks Plus team is part of our natural progression. We look forward to providing Kansas and beyond with the strength of our combined efforts,” said Brian Thomason, chief executive officer of BVTC.
Earlier this year, BVTC announced plans to open a colocation and data center. “The combination of talents and resources found within this acquisition places us [BVTC] in a uniquely strong position to provide outstanding colocation and virtual services to business entities across the country,” said Thomason. “As critical data becomes more digitalized, businesses can rest easy knowing their information and/or equipment is safeguarded from nearly every cyber or environmental-related threat imaginable”.
Overall customer experience has been instrumental in the success of both entities and will remain top priority. Networks Plus will continue to maintain locations in Manhattan, Topeka, and Salina, and each of its employees have been offered continued employment. For the time being, it will retain its own distinct brand. Corporate headquarters is located at 1559 Pony Express Highway, Home, Kan.
