Fiber Deployed to Marysville Business District

March 29, 2016

Home, Kan. — October 6, 2015 – Blue Valley Tele-Communications announced it will be expanding its fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) deployment to the business areas of Marysville. The project will consist of two phases; including the creation of a fiber ring.

“Our businesses depend on [BVTC] to keep their service going. They can’t afford lost connections. This fiber ring will provide our customers with a secure, reliable service,” said John Smith, operations manager. The ring will be created by attaching fiber to utility poles along Highway 36 between 11th and 12th Roads.

“Our goal is to complete phase 1 of this project before the end of the year,” commented Smith. “Phase II will likely begin early in the second quarter – once the weather starts to improve – and will include the downtown business district along Highway 36, Broadway, and Highway 77.”

“It is important to us that we provide our customers with the best possible service we can,” said Smith. “This fiber project is precisely what our business customers have been asking us for.”
