Home, Kan – March 8, 2024 – NTCA – the Rural Broadband Association recently named BVT a recipient of their National Cyber Champion Award. This award recognizes NTCA members who are committed to securing their networks, assets, and sensitive customer information. NTCA Cyber Champions participate in collaborative efforts within the industry’s cyber community and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing improvement in cybersecurity measures.

BVT submitted a written application highlighting its cybersecurity efforts. The company was recognized at the NTCA Rural Telecom Industry Meeting + Expo (RTIME) in February with a video highlighting its efforts. The video can be viewed on BVT’s Facebook page and also its website.

Additionally, NTCA’s CyberShare Working Group, an advisory body comprised of participant volunteers who meet monthly to offer guidance on cybersecurity technical matters, recently named BVT’s director of technology, Jerry Horton, chair of this committee.

BVT CEO, Candace Wright said, “We are honored to be recognized as a 2024 NTCA Cyber Champion. I would like to thank Jerry and the rest of the employees at both Blue Valley Technologies and Networks Plus for driving cybersecurity practices to protect our company, our customers, and our communities. Cybersecurity is a complex, multi-layered approach, and our employees have met this challenge head on by being both forward-thinking and agile.”
